I spent $20 on finding material for my drama assignment today = =
I've been totally focusing my energies every night for the past few weeks on this wonderful bit until we hit this bookstore full of published plays today as a class

a number of these works were remarkably interesting (I say remarkable because I always found published works a bit boring to read, for some strange reason)
Nonetheless, I ended up buying two pieces by Christopher Durang and plan on combining bits and pieces of it with Mrs. Allonby's famous monologue from Wilde's "A Woman of No Importance"

I was in the city all day today, and I need poetry to help ground me right now.
When I'm around so many people I don't know and everything is just bustling on with no breaks or quiet-I don't know how to handle it. Isn't it just so weird how nobody seems to ever take a break in places like those? I'm just thinking about it in comparison to my quiet suburb. At night time, it is silent and safe. There, it's like a jungle.
and subways....I just never get used to subways. The whole concept of the subway system just doesn't sound right to me. It's as if I'm spending the day pronouncing my favourite words incorrectly over and over again.
